When I studied the Cambridge International A-level at my school, one thing that always concerned us was that there was no way for us to know how the exam board normalises our raw marks. However, only the normalised marks were reported to candidates, so I thought it would be very useful if we knew how the normalisation works when preparing for the exams. 

As such, I carefully researched the laws and regulations around Freedom of Information and General Data Protection and in the end obtained the relevant information from the exam board. 

Wanting to help more people get access to this information, I built a web app in python which helps people convert raw marks to normalised marks when practising past papers.
